JOB COACHING & TRAINING
Job Coaching refers to the training of an employee by an approved specialist, who uses structured intervention techniques to help the employee learn to perform job tasks to the employer's specifications. It also includes assisting the employee to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as an asset to the job site and their work peers.
ASSISTED TECHNOLOGY EVALUATIONS
ABILITY SOLUTIONS offers accessibility and assisted technology consulting and training that runs the gamut of school, life, and job access concerns. Our evaluations are comprehensive and well-documented. As part of the assessment, we make assisted technology recommendations for the employee. We can provide a detailed report that includes needs assessment, goals and training recommendations to employers, as requested.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Supported Employment (SE) is a "place then train" model which features two segments:
-place a candidate with the most significant disabilities in a competitive job, and then
-provide training and support directly related to the job
Unlike traditional VR models which provide job readiness and other training activities to prepare a candidate for employment, this model provides appropriate options for the most significant disabilities.

VOCATiONAL ADJUSTMENT TRAINING
Preparation is key! In order to pave the way for successful employment and achieve marketability in the competitive workplace, the Pre-ETS program provides opportunities for candidates to refine their work habits and job-readiness skills, receive individualized support on resume drafting and interviewing and also provides an opportunity for candidates to obtain valuable work experience with community businesses.
Gaining work experience
ABILITY SOLUTIONS offers a Work Experience program designed to teach basic soft skills and transferable work skills to individuals who have never worked or who have not worked since the onset of a significant disabillity.
This training takes place in an actual worksite.
The length of the course and the complexity of skill development will depend on the functional limitation, if any, of the participant. This training is not meant to be permanent employment or a long-term training program.
EMPLOYABILITY TRAINING
Our courses provide employABILITY skills training and assistance for adults who are trying to find employment, transitioning back into the workforce or working to redefine their professional niche in today's global market.
EmployABILITY skills are general skills necessary for success in the workplace, at all levels and in all types of career paths.
